Plot[]
Dead Space: Extraction takes place before the events of Dead Space and the animated film Dead Space: Downfall. It revolves around a group space colonists fighting against a strange infection. The game also introduces a new female protagonist to the series.
Gameplay[]
Extraction is a first-person rail shooter that is set to introduce new enemies, characters, weapons and environments to the series. However, Redwood has promised a new experience to standard rail shooters, hinting at new gameplay aspects to the genre, and dubbed it, "A guided first person experience". The gameplay uses the pointer function of the Wii Remote to aim at enemies, features from the original game like stasis, dismemberment, zero gravity will remain and will stay critical to gameplay. Extraction will also have co-op play.
